If the cards can predict what we will do, does that mean free will does not really exist?

The question arises from a misunderstanding of free will itself; we think of it as something simple and independent of the past. At any moment, we think, we are free to do whatever we want. But our supposedly free choices are governed by our past actions. If we do not understand ourselves, how can we expect to make a free choice? Only by seeing and accepting the past can we free ourselves from it.

It is not enough just to forsee a likely outcome for us to change or prevent that event. We must understand why it is coming, and we must work on the causes within ourselves for the things we do and the ways we react. Free will certainly exists. We just do not know how to use it. It is like this-the choices we make have certain predetermined consequences, but our choices are not predetermined. Each moment we choose-to do a particular thing or not, to allow ourselves to feel something or not, to watch our thoughts or get involved in them, to act or do nothing at all. If I could sum it up I would reiterate Edgar Cayce's words-
<fontlucida size="3">
<fontlucida size="3">"Picture a row of paint buckets, each filled with a different colour-red,blue,yellow,black and white. If you choose to mix the red paint with the blue paint, universal law has predetermined the result will be purple paint. Unless you want purple paint, don't mix red with blue. That's all there is to destiny.'

The most important thing we can learn from Tarot readings,Oracle Cards,Dowsing,Runes and other forms of divination is just how little we exercise our freedom.

</fontlucida></fontlucida>

Healing

http://schoolofpeace.weebly.com/1/post/2010/06/healing.html

http://schoolofpeace.weebly.com/1/post/2010/06/healing.html#comments

Uncategorized

Healing. We all have the ability to heal. Healers act as conduits, channeling the universal existential energy. Much of a healer’s training involves self discovery and understanding pain; in order to be able to help others heal themselves, transform their pain in to power. Intent and ethics are of supreme importance; a deep reverence for all of life.

The healer creates a sacred space, for healing to happen. Those healers who follow what others have told them generally think too much about their actions and forget to feel, and this pulls them out of the trance. Those who develop it themselves really get into the trance of it. And it can be many things in between.

It should be obvious which creates health, and which creates disease. The deeper more peaceful love is a great benefit to all aspects of life. the shallower greedy love causes problems everywhere you find it.

So how do you create healthy love? The same way you create healthy forms of any feeling - you become aware of it, and let it be. You don't fight it, you feel it, but don't let it rule you.

I am sure many others have expressed this more clearly and explored it in more depth, but the important point is that all things can take good or bad forms. If you look for the positive, beautiful, harmonious form it will bring you health.

Beauty

http://schoolofpeace.weebly.com/1/post/2010/04/beauty.html

http://schoolofpeace.weebly.com/1/post/2010/04/beauty.html#comments

Uncategorized

People respond to beauty in a very deep way. It creates a sense of peace and happiness that has many repercussions creating also health, an openness to love and an ability to achieve greater heights of achievement etc. [...]

People respond to beauty in a very deep way. It creates a sense of peace and happiness that has many repercussions creating also health, an openness to love and an ability to achieve greater heights of achievement etc.
